Welcome to Neat. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Neat app ("Neat", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Neat, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.
Neat turns your spoken or typed thoughts into organized reminders. You dictate or type a note, Neat transcribes it and uses AI to suggest structured reminders (title, description, time, and category), and — after you approve them — saves them and can notify you at the right time.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Neat. You sign in with Apple or Google; you're responsible for keeping access to that account secure and for the activity that happens under your account.
Reminders, notes, transcripts, and other content you create are yours. You grant Neat a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you (for example, to transcribe audio, generate reminders with AI, sync across your devices, and send notifications). You're responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring you have the right to submit it.
Don't use Neat to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload malicious content, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or abuse the AI features (for example, to generate harmful or unlawful content). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Neat uses third-party AI (Google Gemini, via our backend) to interpret your input. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Reminders are only created after you review and approve them, and you remain responsible for verifying anything important. Neat is a productivity aid, not a source of professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
Neat offers an optional paid subscription ("Neat Pro") unlocking additional features and higher usage limits. Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID and managed by RevenueCat on our side. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can view, manage, or cancel in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Prices and benefits are shown at the point of purchase. Except where required by law or Apple's policies, payments are non-refundable.
Free accounts can create a limited number of AI-generated reminders per day; Neat Pro raises or removes that daily limit. To keep the service reliable and protect against abuse and runaway costs, we also apply rate limits to AI requests for all users (free and Pro). These limits may change over time, and we may track your request counts to enforce them (see our Privacy Policy). Attempting to bypass or circumvent these limits is not permitted.
With your permission, Neat sends local notifications to remind you about your tasks. You can turn notifications off in Settings inside Neat or in iOS Settings at any time.
